What is the difference between NEW and LIKE NEW instruments?

A NEW instrument is a brand new instrument. It arrives to you in it's factory shipped condition.

A LIKE NEW instrument has been previously played and returned to us be a prior renter. Our Repair department thoroughly inspects, cleans, sanitizes, and makes any needed adjustments, in order to deem the intrument in LIKE NEW condition. Our LIKE NEW instruments will play and look just like a new instrument. Should you decide to rent to own a LIKE NEW instrument, all manufactures warranties will apply to you as the original owner. Our LIKE NEW instruments have both lower monthly payments, and a lower purchase price which can amount to significant overall savings.

Do I have to give you my social security number?

Providing your social security number helps us to run credit checks before entering into a rental agreement with you. It's also a security measure for B&B Music and Sound in case some unforseen issue arises where we would need go beyond the basic renter/rentee relationship.

How long does it take to deliver the instrument I just rented?

Orders delivered to schools for customer pickup require a 7 to 10 day processing period. Orders designated for store pickup by the customer require a 5 to 7 day processing period.

How long will I be making payments?

This will depend on a couple of things. The price of the instrument being the first. If you are renting to own a higher priced instrument, the time to pay it off will take a few more months then a lower priced instrument. Another factor is the amount of your monthly payment. Your contract will include the exact number of payments.

What if I want to pay it off early?

Paying off your instrument early is totally acceptable and even encouraged! We even offer 10% off the remaining balance of your instrument at the time of paying off your instrument! Call us anytime and we will be happy to give you a payoff quote based on your current balance.

What if I move?

It's always a good idea to keep your creditors advised of changes to your address. A phone call would be appreciated so we can update your information in our system. But other than that, as long as you do not default on your rental agreement, you can continue to enjoy the instrument(s) at your new address. Access to maintenance and repair for your instrument(s) will remain availble to you as well.

What if my child stops playing? Can I return the book and accessories? Will there be any refunds?

Books and accessories that you have purchased are yours to keep. No returns of books and/or accessories are accepted. If you intend on terminating your rental agreement, be sure to return the instrument before the next payment due date. Otherwise, additional fees may be due. If your payment is currently due, or if you are delinquent on past payments or fees, those items will need to be resolved at the time of terminating your rental agreement.

What are my payment options?

All rental accounts originating online will be automatically placed on our Auto-Pay Program, and future payments will be charged to the card you have provided.
